The day that we found out that we were going to have a baby was the
best day of our lives.  From that moment on we were counting the days
and couldn't wait until our baby was born.  As first time parents, we
tried to prepare as much as we could.  We received alot of information
and advice and the most important advice we received was in regards
to a Doula.  We didn't think about a Doula in the past, but as the days
passed by and we were getting a little nervous about having to go
through labor ourselves - we thought that we needed the support from
a Doula.  I was a little over seven months pregnant when I contacted
Denise.  Immediately I liked her - she was just very accommodating
and a happy person.  We talked and met several times, which made
me very comfortable.  During the labor, she was beside me all the
time and helped me go through it with ease.  A nurse wouldn't of been
able to stay with me all the time.  I do not think that I would have been
able to stay  calm and confident if not for Denise's help.  We are very
happy that we chose to use a Doula and would recommend it to all.

As first time parents to be, the presence of a doula really made us both feel more confident and relaxed
about the unknown birth.  Our doula helped me go through some difficult contractions using a variety of
techniques and also took the pressure off my husband so that he can focus on supporting me emotionally.  
Most importantly, she helped us make the right decision at a critical point.  We truly felt fortunate to have our
doula there with us.

Taryn was my Doula at the birth of my third child, Hayley.  She helped
