Jennifer Balk - "Being a doula has been a marriage of my two life's passions, nursing and mothering. I have raised two boys who are now young men and I have served as a nurse for many years. By using these experiences, I hope to provide a loving, supportive environment during birth, so the birth partner can focus their full attention on loving the mother."

Linda Mucci - "My passion for childbirth is the reason that I am now pursuing my second career as a doula. For over twenty years I have worked as a secretary in a local middle school. I am a mother of two grown daughters, Kim and Kristen, who encourage and support my new endeavor. I hope to be a source of strength and comfort for my clients as I help them to create one of the most beautiful, memorable days of their lives."

Jayne Knips - "For over thirty years I have taught on both the elementary and middle school levels. Becoming a doula has enhanced my life as a woman. The next best thing to giving birth myself is to be a birth doula, assisting and nurturing other moms/dads throughout the birthing process. Having mothered three adult children, my present role as a doula is to mother other mothers. I love what I do as a doula. It's not a job; it's my passion and privilege!"

Marilyn "Malka" Korbman, RN, BSN - I have worked in Nursing for many years from psychiatric to case management to women’s health. I am a certified childbirth educator & breastfeeding counselor. I also provide premarital classes for Jewish brides interested in learning more about the Jewish approach to love and marriage. I am the mother of four (completely natural births) and the grandmother of two. The miracle of childbirth is an experience which is very special to me, personally as well as professionally. I look forward to supporting couples through this amazing, yet challenging "event" by utilizing my cumulative experience and training.
Willie Young - "I love being a birth Doula. I found my passion after retiring from my job at Olympic Airlines in 2002. I have been a Doula since 2003. Helping other people makes my life complete. In addition to being a Doula I work with the "ministry of helps" in my church community. I am the mother of two grown children and I have two beautiful grandchildren. I find it very rewarding and fulfilling supporting parents during their wonderful experiences.
Ruby Ann Bradt Vanderzee - “Birth is the most wonderful occasion in life. Being a doula is about presence and comfort. From a very young age I have been attracted to healing, movement and education. I combine my work in these fields with my passion for birth and families to help women through this momentous life passage. I bring warmth, love, comforting guidance to the births I attend. Being invited to a birth is the greatest honor.”
